Hargrove is now hiring a Mechanical/Piping Designer to help support needs on-site at a Chemicals facility in Pensacola, FL.   Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.   Certification: Certification is not required at this level.   Experience: This position requires 4 to 10+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design. Experience working with Bently Open Plant software is preferred but not required. Experience 3D modeling software such as CadWorks, Smart Plant, MicroStationisae, and AutoCAD 2D + 3D are encouraged. Candidates familiar with LiDAR scanning and point cloud use with 3D CAD files is encouraged. A working knowledge with creating 3D models of facilities, piping systems, etc. is a plus. Effective computer skills including Microsoft products, Adobe Acrobat, and/or SAP is encouraged.    Generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete designs of mechanical/piping assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods.  This level is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex mechanical/piping assignments.  This work will be performed under general supervision on-site at a facility in Pensacola, FL.This position supports the Capital Engineering organization by providing detailed design packages that support the defined project scope of work as a mechanical designer. These designs include sufficient details for fabrication and installation. This will include pipe supports, piping systems, structural components and equipment installations. Compiling required material lists (BOM’s) to meet specifications as necessary to ensure safe, operable and maintainable installations.   Local candidates preferred.
