This work will be performed under general supervision.   Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Familiarity with and utilization of department design and drafting standards. - Recognizing and communicating project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment to a project task team. - Reviewing and comprehending the latest information available regarding civil/structural calculations, equipment drawings and layouts or drawings from other disciplines before initiating design effort on specific drawings. - Drafting civil/structural plans under minimal supervision. - Being knowledgeable of basic civil material specifications to the extent that all information required for material purchase, fabrication and construction is reflected on the finished drawings. - Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly. - Performing field related work collecting design information and verifying designs for tie-ins, function and clearances to existing facility. - On-site assistance during startup. - Performing field support activities, where assigned, for engineering support during construction. - Assisting engineers with cost and material estimates and preliminary design studies. - Checking the accuracy and quality of drawings developed by drafters, when assigned, based on information conveyed by engineering direction, equipment and discipline drawings. - Providing technical guidance to less experienced drafting personnel in the department. - Coordinating & delegating work activities with other teammates and the discipline leads. - Producing civil/structural construction scopes with engineering review and approval. - Able to serve in role as a mentor for entry level and new teammates. This level requires extensive progressive experience in mechanical and piping design and involves utilization of project controls for cost, schedule and quality of projects. This level requires extensive progressive experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering and involves applying advanced engineering techniques and analysis. This work will be performed under general supervision.   Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Familiarity with and utilize department design and drafting standards. - Familiarity with project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment to a project task team. - Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly. - On-site assistance during startup. - Provide technical guidance to less experienced drafting and engineering personnel in the department. - Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. - To perform duties as a discipline lead on a small to mid-sized projects. - Producing estimate level designs and material take-offs suitable for the level of the estimate being performed on a project. - Producing detail design calculations and sketches for materials of construction associated with the project. Calculations produced will be neatly prepared and organized for efficient checking by others and efficient use by drafters/designers for preparing drawings and as a deliverable when required. - Produce 15kV/5kV equipment specifications. - Produce electrical installation specifications. - Developing conceptual layouts and cost studies as necessary to determine the simplest, most efficient approach to solving engineering tasks at hand. - Producing estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs suitable for the level of the estimate being performed on a project. - Produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, power and instrumentation plans under general supervision. - Producing designs with efficient use of construction materials with an overall emphasis on ease of construction and completed product meeting the expectations of the client. - Checking calculations made by other engineers to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practice. - Assisting the drafting group in resolving routine layout and detailing problems. Job Scope: Generally responsible for performing all aspects of project management for moderately complex engineering project assignments ensuring total delivery of the services on time, within performance budget and quality expectations. This work will be performed under minimal supervision.   Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Efficiently manage promotional projects minimizing the cost to Hargrove by working with the Engineering Resource Leaders to accurately estimate Professional Services man hours to complete the project while achieving the objectives. - Successfully managing commercial contract(s) on one or more projects of various sizes, as required. Ensure that invoices are paid in a timely manner, Project Change Notices are processed, monthly Office Earnings Report (OER) is reviewed in the time allotted, and the project(s) plan in Vision is current. - Maintaining control of the project by tracking and maintaining discipline performance budget progress, schedule commitments, and quality standards. Understanding and utilizing the project tools that are available for project control. - Participating in development of all major technical, cost, scheduling and performance decisions on assigned projects. - Familiarity with project scope, specifications, deliverables required by client, and design criteria upon assignment to a project and gaining Hargrove team alignment of schedule and budget in regard to deliverables required. Ensuring that sufficient information and details are provided for completion of engineering drawings. - Reviewing and checking vendor information and other discipline information needs for process engineering input. (Engineering specifications are distinct from equipment data sheets. Mechanical Engineers write the equipment specifications in our group at Atlanta. Either they or the Process group starts the equipment data sheets.) - Reviewing fabrication drawings and other vendor submittals for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications. - Performing fieldwork necessary to gather process information, check tie-ins and provide construction support. - Developing bid packages enabling process engineering purchase inquiries to be issued for procurement of equipment, materials or services. (This function is reserved for the Mechanical Engineers at the Atlanta office.) - Participating in professional society meetings to make new business contacts and keep current with new developments in the industry. - Participating in sales activities including pre-bid meetings, client presentations, scope review meetings, and proposal development. - Traveling as required for client presentations, project related tasks, and training opportunities. - Actively participates in the mentoring of less experienced process engineers. - Developing small work sharing packages for interoffice execution support.
